The new featured game is
Deus Ex: Human Revolution: Directors Cut
A absolutely awesome, beautiful, game.
It is truely beautiful. One of the most beautiful games ever made.
It is much improved version of the original version.
I did'nt buy this game before. Because of it's flaws. Flaws that were fixed by the directors cut.
I did think Adam Jenson was handsome, though.
But now, I'm really glad I have it. It has all the dlc in, and it is well intergrated into it.
It is the third Deus Ex game. The previous games were Deus Ex(1), and Deus Ex: Invisable War(2).
It's a prequal to Deus Ex.
You don't need to play the others to get this.
The combat is awesome and always varied. Good guns, and great takedowns.
You can punch nearly everyone! Including NPCS.
The art, design, and graphics, is absolutely gorgeous. It has a beautiful, unique, style.
Adam Jenson is absolutely awesome. One of the best leads ever. He is handsome, awesome, badass, and very sexy. He's very interesting, and well written.
He is one of my most favourite characters ever.
You upgrade Adam Jensons augmentations as he levels up, or by using Praxis kits. The augmentations are awesome.
The world is cyberpunk, noirish. Which is good. But it goes a bit far in the cyberpunk, noirish, dystopia, thing.
It has a slight case of fallout 3 itis. But nowere near as bad. Nothing is as bad as bethesda made worlds. Bethesda make the worst worlds in gaming.
It's does things for the feel, but does'nt explain things.
Like hobos who act like businesspeople, and have tablet computers, but sleep in shipping containers.
It goes way too far in the 'broken detroit', thing.
It's ok, but the worlds not always sensible. Some places are better than others.
There is a distinct air of Robocop about it. To the world and story.
But nowere near as firetrucked up and dark.
There's even a large and funny reference in it. in the police station. I spent the first times playing it, thinking I'd see Robocop stuff in it. And going, this really reminds me of Robocop.
This is not a bad thing. Robocops awesome.
It is also a bit like Bladerunner. In style, a little. Also, in music, a bit.
There is a Bladerunner easter egg in the police station.
Unfortunately I also has Bladerunners problem in the world. You can't tell what the weathers supposed to be.
There is a lot of fun in the game. You can go round punching civilions, throw vending machines and fridges at people, and all kinds of things.
The world is like Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, in a way.
They really look and act like real worlds. And causing trouble will get you killed, fast.
They are also big enough to convince as cities, etc, without being too big or too small.
There are civilion areas. And attacking people in them will get you killed, fast. Unless you're meant to fight them.
You don't want to have to fight the entire police force, npcs, etc. So think before you punch that NPC.
The story is beautifully written, and awesome.
It is very sad. Not in a depressing way, but it in a entertainment friendly way.
It is very, dark. Some of it is pure nightmare fuel.
Adam Jenson has what can only be descibed as a conga line of tragedy happen.
You feel really sorry for him. Poor man.
Some of the things that happen to him are pure nightmare fuel. Especially when you read some documents that relate to Adam.
The nasty comments to him after his augmentation are particularly cruel and saddening.
The story can be played in lots of diferent ways. And there are good, bad, and evil options for most quests.
So you can be as good or evil as you want.
It is beautifully written. But some of the story is retardly stupid. Not enough to break the game, but enough to be mildly annoying. The ending is very lazy and bad. Not grindingly, game ruiningly, bad, but it is bad.
Most of it is beautifully, amazingly, written. You can ignore the bad writing easily.
The trophies are some of the most unusal trophies ever. Some are insanely hard. But most are possible, but hard. One may be impossible, but don't let that put you off. This game is wayyy bigger than trophies.
The music is absolutely awesome. Very beautiful, atmospheric, and sad.
I would buy the OST, if I had the money. I don't have the money.
The trailers for it are true works of art and are amazing. You should definately check out those.
The best are the icarus and cinematic ones.
They ar'nt representive of what's in the game, sometimes. He does'nt go into space while wearing a awesome spacesuit, though he does go sub orbital. Nore does he dream of growwings and fly into the sun. But those are still absolutely beautiful trailers.
DE:HR has some of the best trailers ever made, for games, ever.
Don't believe the meme.
This game is not remotely whiney. It is absolutely amazing.
Adam Jenson says 'I did'nt ask for this', once. And it's optional.
And he does'nt say it in a whiney way. He really did'nt ask for it.
You don't need to have played Deus Ex and Deus Ex: Invisable War, to play this.
This game is standalone.
There are references, but they ar'nt overwhelming.
I really wish they would make more games with Adam Jenson in! I want to play as him again!
You should definately get this game. It is one of the best and most beautiful games ever made.
But get the directors cut. Not the original.
If you like unusal games, get it. If you like stealth, get it. If you like awesome writing, get it. This game is amazing. If you like cyberpunk, get this game. If you like transhumanism, you should get it.
If you like Bioshock 1 and 2, you will like this game. Because it has exploration and journals, etc. If you want a game with loads of options, and diferent ways to play, you should get it.
The stealth works, so don't let that put you off. You can go outright and massacre them all. It's not mandetory.
